Surveying Programs For Casio Fx 9860g; It is our privilege to write more surveying programs for other Casio models. At this point of time, there are 4 Casio programmable models where Malaysian surveyors can realistically opt for: (1) The FX-7400G+ of course, (2) FX-5800P. (3) CFX-9850GC+ (4) and the very powerful FX-9860G. A zipped Casio FXI file containing all of the 32 programs listed below. The file can only be opened and transferred to a Calculator using the Casio FX software and an interface cable. Line to Plane (253Kb). NEW JANUARY 2014. This is a new program for the fx-7400G.

Casio Solutions recommends you download the free Casio FA-122 software to use with CFX and FX7400G+ models and FA-123 software if you use an Algebra FX model. (FA-123 will also work with both CFX and FX7400G+ models, but it will corrupt certain commands and text.)
Blame Bill if your programs now think they're security catalogs! Installing IE5 registers the *.cat extension as a security catalog file type - which means double-clicking a program now fails to open it. See technical links for help to restore things the way they were!
How to download! Try one click on the download button. If your FA-122/3 software opens automatically with the programs then fine. If anything else happens (eg white screen full of program code or error message about invalid security catalog) then return to this page, right-click the download button, save the programs onto your computer, start the FA-122/3 software and open the saved programs through the software.

| There are 2 ways to download all the above sets of programs for all calculator models: DOWNLOAD ALL PROGRAMS - (cat.zip), an 84k zip file - you'll need to unzip using Winzip software or similar into original *.cat format. DOWNLOAD ALL PROGRAMS - (cat.exe), a 110k self-extracting archive if you don't have an unzipping utility. Save into your FA-122 folder and then double click the file to automatically create a folder called 'cworks' containing all original sets in *.cat format. |
After a few months of hiatus, we finally get a chance to clean up the site, make the download page more accessible, and also to release some new information. Give us a few hours while we are at it. 🙂
The site re-organisation is needed for 2 main reasons: Many visitors come here for the free downloads and also the links to other Casio surveying site, so we need to have the download page more prominently placed. Secondly, we are releasing the old InSight code again, plus the programs passwords, and releasing InSight 1.3 soon (finally), which shall come with a few updates and 3 new programs. A good development of InSight is that we shall release it under a GNU-like license, which means the code will again be shared, and the full program is available for download here as soon as it is ready.
Another exciting development for us is that we shall begin offering Casio calculator here, but in limited amount only. Specifically we shall begin by offering FX-7400G+ and FX-9860G, at a price you will find reasonable. For FX-7400G+ we shall install InSightfor free before shipping it, while owner of FX-9860G can easily download it here and load the program with the USB cable which comes with the calculator.

In addition, we scrap the idea of writing programs for FX-5800P, mainly due to its slow processing speed (hey I did not know you guys work in the hot sun for that long!) and also for CFX-series since it is confirmed that Casio will phase out the CFX-series as soon as this year. As we speak now, it is virtually impossible to source for CFX-9850GB+. Not to worry, the FX-9860G is a well qualified and great replacement.
